Tiny Dice Dungeon- Reigndolf

This post will be focused on Reigndolf, a fire-type monster. Reigndolf can be found at the Isolated Watchtower, which is unlocked once your adventurer reaches level 25. Reigndolf is a pretty powerful monster in Tiny Dice Dungeon, and starts out with a double fire attack dice. At level 10 it unlocks a 2x fire attack dice, at level 20 it unlocks a 2x poison attack dice, at level 30 it unlocks a 1-3 multiplier dice, at 35 it unlocks another 3x fire attack dice, at 45 a 4x fire attack dice, at level 45 a 5x fire attack dice, at level 50 a 4x poison attack dice, at level 55 a 1-5 multiplier dice, at level 60 a >2 multiplier dice, and at level 70 and health>3 dice. For maximum average damage output, you should use the core 2x fire dice, and the three other multiplier dice.

Catching Monsters

There are three keys to catching monsters successfully in Tiny Dice Dungeons:
1. Upgrade your monster catcher as high as you can
2. Remember to keep crafting capture dice for your adventurer and monsters in your party
3. Bring a monster than can do predictable, low amounts of damage

The first two keys are pretty self- explanatory: A high level monster catcher gives you a higher chance of subduing the monster, and having a lot of capture dice will make it more likely that you will actually catch the monster.

You'll find that as you get into the upper levels and get better dice and items, you'll be doing a lot more damage. You'll find that rolling a 3 or 4 may actually result in a total of 20 damage. This can be a big problem when trying to catch monsters, because if you aren't careful you'll over- roll. Whenever I go into a level where I'm trying to catch a particular monster, I bring my Buzzo which has a >2 dice, a normal 1x attack dice, a health dice, and another normal 1x attack dice. I also take off all the items he has. By doing so, I end up doing the least possible damage and I know exactly how much damage I'll do.

When I'm trying to catch a monster, I'll usually bring its health down to under 100 with my adventurer, then use one of my slightly weaker monsters to bring it down to around 30 health, give or take 10 points or so. After this, it's extremely easy to roll the numbers I need with Buzzo to subdue the monster. In fact, if you have the +7 monster catcher upgrade, you are guarantee to subdue the monster!

Here are a couple useful tips that will assist you in catching monsters:
-A super, mega, etc. version of a monster requires twice the capture dice to catch as the original. For example, if it takes 60 to capture a Moozor, it'll take 120 to capture a Mega Moozor
-Always use common shards to build your capture dice as these are the most common
-There is an upgrade you can buy in the PVP arena that lowers the price of the monster catcher slightly
-Remember that certain elements do double damage to elements they are strong against and half damage to those they are weak against. Using a monster weak against the monster you are trying to catch can make it a lot easier to roll the required number
-Poison damage cannot be used to catch the monster. For example, if you are trying to catch a monster with 100 HP, even if you do exactly 100 points of poison damage you will kill it, not capture it

What Monsters Should I Catch?

Personally I have found that the strongest monsters are: Finless Shark, Hoggly, Reigndolf, Eggburenejal, Great Dragon, and Capy. There are other strong ones too, these just start out with good dice and get some other good ones from leveling up. These monsters are all available later in the game though, and require quite a bit of capture dice to catch. At the beginning of the game, just try to pick monsters you like and stick with them, and continue to level them up.

Tiny Dice Dungeon Beginner Tips

As a beginner, you start out with once character, one dice slot, one attack dice, and one monster slot. The key to the beginning is getting your first monster as soon as possible and to start leveling it as well as your character up. You don't have many options at the beginning of the game, as you still have to rebuild your town, but as you progress you'll discover new things that will help you out. You should begin saving up coins as soon as possible and only spend them on upgrading your Monster Catcher and the Phoenix Ups. The Monster Catcher upgrades will give you a large boost to your monster catching abilities, and the Phoenix Up Upgrade will pay off more and more as you use the Phoenix Feathers. At the beginning, you should not have much trouble crafting new dice as most of the dice you can get early on in the game just require common shards. I would advise catching a Septic Snail when you get to the Poisoned Gate House and using it as your main monster early on in the game. The Septic Snail has powerful poison abilities that damage enemies when they are attacked as well as potentially multiple rounds after. When you unlock the second monster slot, simply find a monster that you think looks powerful and catch it. There will be more opportunities for you later in the game to create a good team. At this point in the game you have not yet unlocked the most powerful monsters or you lack the capture dice to catch them. As you start collecting items, equip them appropriately to your monsters and hero. When you click on an item, the column on the left represents defense while the one on the right represents attack. Try to use items that benefits the things that your monsters or heroes use, without hurting them too much. For example, some items give a boost to Poison attacks, while hurting Water attacks. This item would be most appropriate to give to a monster or hero that has Poison attacks but no water attacks.

  Battle Strategies
In general, it is best to target the monsters with the lowest number of hit points first. In doing so you'll get attacked less in the upcoming turns (a defeated monster cannot attack you). Another plus for this strategy is that it will usually leave the strongest monsters for last, and then you can capture them. It took me a while to realize this, but consistent, average attacks often are better than going for big numbers and risking rolling a one. The only time going for big numbers is a good idea is when the opponent is low on HP. By rolling a number that greatly exceeds the opponents HP, your hero or monster recovers the difference in their own HP. So if my adventurer with 15 HP attacks a Buzzo (monster) with 5 HP and does 25 damage, my adventurer will now have an HP of 15+ (25-5) or 35 HP. Another benefit of doing this is that you get a lot of coins. In general, the more your attack exceeds the enemy's HP, the more coins you will get from it. I have also found that you are more likely to get dice shards or items by doing this.

 In a short overview:
 1. Spend your coins on upgrades
2. Fill all available monster slots
3. Try to get a Septic Snail when possible (Poisoned Gate House)
4. Small consistent attacks are usually better than big risky ones
5. By doing more damage than your opponent has left you are rewarded with both coins and HP
6. Equip appropriate items My next post will cover catching monsters, leveling up monsters, and selecting monsters to use.
